Factories and Distribution Depots present a challenging environment. Staff are often difficult to locate and the noise caused by industrial processes can make it difficult to hear a phone ringing. Computer Aided Manufacturing is increasingly pushing technology on to the factory floor.   We will usually provide a fairly standard office system with computer and telephone outlets around the office areas, doorphones to control visitor access to buildings and through car park barriers.   Direct dial numbers will be used to allow callers to go direct to staff or departments and we may have queuing systems in place.

The system will extend into the factory area with both telephone and data outlets being provided. Frequently a loudspeaker system will be fitted, allowing background music or radio programmes to be played in factory areas which will automatically be cut out when a paging announcement is made.

Paging calls can be made from any phone if required and can be only to a particular are or across the whole site if desired. Outside areas such as loading bays and parking areas can also be included. Pre-recorded announcements can be used to cover emergency evacuation procedures.

For noisy environments we can provide extra-loud sounders or flashing strobe lights so that staff working on machinery will know that a phone is ringing and can enter a sound-proofed are to take the call. Alternatively we can provide  mobile handsets that incorporate a vibrating alert to perform the same function.

Expansion often causes additional space to be taken on that may be separate from the main site. We can provide links between buildings and sites to cope with this.

Your outgoing calls are automatically be routed via cheaper carriers to save on call charges. We provide management reports to assist you in detecting inappropriate phone usage.
