An existing KX-TDA 100 or 200 can be upgraded to a TDE by simple replacement
of the Main processor Card, with minimal downtime. The upgraded system will work
exactly as before but will now include the enhanced functionality of the TDE.
The TDE 100 and 200 cabinets have the same card slot capacity as the TDA 100
and 200 cabinets but the capability to add IP trunks and extensions without
using up physical slots means that the capacity of a TDA100 can be greatly
increased without the need to replace the cabinet.
You also get built-in voicemail, LAN connectivity, and IP telephony
capability using SIP or H323 protocols.
